Vibrant and Inspiring are two of many wonderful attributes that describe Brigitte Grenier and her career thus far. She states that CHEERBODY has been 15 years in the making, drawing from her various experiences and educational pursuits.
Born and raised in Sudbury, Ontario, Brigitte started dancing at the age of 5, teaching dance at 15 and hasn’t stopped since. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Health and Fitness Education at Laurentian University and is a certified Kinesiologist, Group Exercise/Yoga/Pilates and Dance instructor. There is no question she is a fitness ‘expert’ through the hundreds of people she has helped get fit, rehabilitate and motivate over the years.
After graduating, Brigitte moved to Toronto to pursue her fitness/dance career and has trained with leading professionals such as Marty Kudelka, Luther Brown, Siona Jackson, Stelio Calagias and Shawn Byfield. Her enthusiastic and mesmerizing aura combined with her obvious dance talent led her right to the top – Captain of the Toronto Argonaut Cheerleaders for 4 consecutive years and on the team from 2006-2012. She has performed all over the country, danced for singer/comedian Nicole Arbour and appeared on TV shows such as Much Music, Breakfast Television, Dance Ontario, Rogers TV and the Jamie Kennedy Show. She was soon sought after for her unique and energetic choreography that captivates crowds everywhere. She currently choreographs for the Toronto Rock Cheerleaders and the Edmonton Oiler Octane girls and dances/choreographs for International Popstar Farahri who attributes her fitness and endurance on stage to CHEERBODY training with Brigitte.
Super keen on fitness and health alongside her dance career, Brigitte started her fitness training at 16 when she obtained her group fitness certification through the YMCA. Seeing the importance and impact of exercise on physical, mental and emotional health, ignited her passion to help others achieve their fitness goals which is the main motivation behind CHEERBODY. Years and several fitness certifications later, Brigitte is also working at the Rosedale Wellness Center alongside physiotherapists, athletic therapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, naturopathic doctors, psychiatrists and nutritionists where she has been amalgamating lifetimes of experience in injury prevention, rehab and overall healthy living. This is why CHEER BODY is more than just a dance/conditioning class, it’s a movement led by one of the most motivating, energetic, vibrant and all rounded fitness experts in Toronto.
